I haven't read your rant - I'll go and look for it - but from what you say here, we are in complete agreement! :-)

I'm thrilled that Ianto won't die needlessly. I suspected that from the author's notes, but they also said we might not be happy on or around Chapter 16, so I was wondering whether I should prepare myself to be temporarily devastated.
