This was so well written! The story-telling was just right in everything.
A difficult subject not to fetishize or go too far in a soppy direction in the handling of Jack as the victim and you didn't fall off the line once, so good on your mature writing and incorporation of all your research.
And in the process I loved all the characterisations (especially Francine who I have a soft spot for) and I really enjoyed the story - thank you!
