EEEE thank you so much! Way more than I expected; I didn't know if there was anyone following this journal who'd even know what this fandom was! I'm kind of obsessively going through the info on that page you linked me to - it's great!
MCR is definitely one of my favourite bands of all time as well. I don't think I've read very widely in the fandom, but I did come across a couple that made me think I should play with the trope.... which is Frank as a ghost, so I'm not sure how much you're going to like this one, if I post it!
I have to say, I can understand fics where Jamia and Lindsey were never in the picture - it's part of my love-hate relationship with RPF. See, if I want Gerard and Frank to get together, I have to split up Frank/Jamia and Gerard/Lindsey. That, or they cheat on their wives. Or their wives know and are fine with it. None of these appeal to me, so it's honestly just easier to read fics set in a world where the relationships never existed in the first place. Bonus points if they're good friends even if they never dated. Eh, I dunno - just my two cents, I guess. =D
