Meh. Something I came up with during Econs "lesson" today. Unclassifiable, or at least, I'm not in a mood to attempt classification.


"Stimulus"
she says, and I laugh inside.
Pay attention - to the stimulus.
To the little zaps of electricity,
Node to node, neuron to neuron.
Pay attention to the quickening
Breath, the warming blush.
Pay attention to the little
Brush of your hand against mine,
to the
stimulus.
I'm laughing inside at our private joke.
Pay attention, class.


Quick Fit

Sometimes it makes me wonder why
I came here in the first place
Trying to find where I fit, maybe,
a puzzle piece that can't quite slide
Into place. Like a small grey cloud
in a sunny blue sky. Or just a girl,
nondescript. unknown. ignored.
So I think maybe I'm trying to find that
place, a little quiet corner of my own.
Maybe I'm a cornerpiece and don't
know it. Maybe I'm looking for a
place near the centre or the sides but
forgetting the empty corner.

Then I wonder what I'm doing there.
And my future stretches
before me. terrifyingly -
blank. white.
