Love this chapter too! I have to admit, though, when they started to talk about Ianto's mortality, I got scared and scrolled back up to check the chapter number (because of the author's notes). Silly me.
My favorite line was perhaps, "The job doesn’t much leave room for politeness," Ianto sighed. "Unless I’m talking to Elizabeth, of course. Oh, and by the way?" He winked at her. "He is very handsome." He told his family about his job and about Jack (and without all the icky awkwardness of CoE - that felt so OOC to me)! I love the way he casually dropped the queen's name into the conversation (take that, Daffyd!), and was so jauntily positive about Jack (a one-two punch to the bad brother!).
