Think of it as part of the artistic effect! Artistic liberty also taken with the quote, and no, Harry Potter had nothing whatsoever to do with it. "The Red Tincture," or "The Great Elixir" just didn't sound right for this. XD;

I like to think that's Ed after he's made his first military-ordered kill. The first one where he wasn't actively trying to defend himself [read: Greed]. He wouldn't take it well, would it?
