I got some wonderful prompts and really enjoyed myself writing ficlets for them, so I’ve decided to do the same this year. For those of you who don’t know how this works, let’s go over things:

Title: Some Blessed Hope

Summary: Jack loves Ianto. It doesn't matter which version of Jack, or which version of Ianto. Some things are constant.
Author's Notes: Pretty much a they-were-meant-to-be fic. This was actually inspired by a comment left on another one of my fics - to quote, I am convinced that Ianto Jones from any dimension, universe, or imagination would be a) beautiful, b) intelligent, and c) loved by Jack. So this is dedicated to you, dd0206, for inadvertently prompting this fic. =D

A/N: Hey, guys - just so you know, I'm not going to watch Torchwood Season 4. I'm sure most of you know that I didn't like S3 (and no, not just because Ianto died; I didn't like the stylistic, structural or thematic direction of the season). It frankly turned me off Torchwood, and what I've heard of S4 hasn't given me any incentive to return.

I've made a conscious decision not to watch S4. If you do, and you enjoy it, I'm glad for you; just don't ask me if any of my fics will take S4 revelations into account. They won't. I suspect I won't be writing as much Torchwood fic once S4 starts, but whatever I do write will stick to S1 and S2 canon. There will probably be cameo appearances from Rhiannon and her family; anything else from S3 and S4 will be disregarded.

Still, it's been a fun ride, y'all. Don't give up on me just yet - I still have a few Torchwood fic ideas I want to throw out there and share with you. Meantime, I hope you enjoy the last part of this little tale:


( The Spirit of Torchwood: Part Four )

So I was re-reading Counting Stars just to refresh my memory on character interactions, and - you know what, I think my writing's evolved. At any rate, I can see some things I don't like in that behemoth - a few poorly-handled POV changes, in particular. Oh well, lessons learned will be applied in future writing. At any rate, have a one-shot from that 'verse:

Title: Clarity
Rating(s): PG-13
Characters/Pairing(s): Dafydd (OC), Ianto, Toshiko, background Jack/Ianto
Warning(s): Homophobic attitudes (which eventually become more moderated, if that helps). Spoilers for Counting Stars, and all attendant changes etc made to canon within that ‘verse.
Summary: Dafydd hasn't been a good older brother, and he knows it.
Author's Notes: Counting Stars-verse – click here for the Master List. For those who don't want to read it, all you need to know is that Jack and Ianto have a telepathic connection, and Ianto may or may not be immortal (they’ll find out next time he dies, I suppose). Oh, also, Tosh and Owen survived the end of Season 2.
This fic is from the POV of Ianto's brother, Dafydd (a minor CS-verse OC).
This fic also references a previous one-shot in this 'verse, Chocolate Cheesecake.

Summary: Over the years, the Cardiff police department had learned that when Torchwood showed up, Strange Things happened. Nothing had prepared them for the sight of Captain Jack Harkness wearing what appeared to be a heavily graffiti-ed version of his usual getup.
Author's Notes: Craaaaaack.

I blame this all on Areale. “Areale, give me an idea for an alien,” I said. “Graffiti,” she said. “What,” I said. And thus was born this fic.

Sometimes I write seasonal fics for various events. This Christmas, I thought I’d do something different instead.

I’m taking prompts for ficlets in any of the fandoms listed below. Please have a look at what I will/won’t write for each fandom before making your requests.

How this works:
Just leave a comment in this post with the fandom, pairing (if applicable) and prompt you’d like.

Prompts can be anything from random words for inspiration, to a specific scenario you’d like to see played out. They can be as specific or as general as you’d like, and I’ll do my best to stick to them.

ONE PROMPT per post. If you have multiple prompts, I’ll do the first one first, then go back to the others after I’m done with prompts from other people. So put the one you most want to see done first!

I will NOT write:
Anything with dark/unpleasant themes. It’s Christmas; let’s keep it happy. That said, I’ll take angst if I think it’s okay.

Some fandoms also have a specific listing for things I won’t write (don’t break up my OTPs please), so pay attention!

Note:
A slash denotes a pairing (e.g. Jack/Ianto), whereas a plus sign denotes friendship (e.g. Ianto+Tosh).

The latter doesn’t mean you can’t request friendship fics between people I haven’t listed; it just means that I’m particularly comfortable writing those two.
