I'm sorry. Not being Welsh (or from anywhere near the region) I was completely unaware that that phrasing was offensive. I meant to parody the fact that Jack (as Ianto knows) wasn't born on Earth and probably had been exposed to any number of alien languages (and doesn't think any less of them than human languages). That said, I still wouldn't have used that phrasing if I'd known its historical connotations. Might I ask if replacing Jack's question with this is more acceptable?:
“Actually,” Jack said, giving Ianto a totally blank look. “I don’t know what they say. What was that?”
