I reread this chapter and I find that I have more to say =)

She looks glad to be of use, falling back instantly into a professional demeanour. Owen should take lessons from her. “As I mentioned earlier,” she says. “The monitors were registering the forest here in the Hub.”

“The forest?” Jack asks, sitting down. His legs suddenly feel weaker than they should be. As if he has just run a marathon. Perhaps, he thinks, he has.

“Yes,” Toshiko says. “Trees, birds, insects, the whole lot. None of our equipment or the outside world was being picked up at all.”

This bit was very cryptic. What monitors? What do they register? (light, smells, sounds, unique radiation found only in forests?) "The forest" - which forest are you referring to? Is it a specific type of forest? It jolted be out of the fic for a bit because I didn't understand what was going on or what Tosh was referring to. Maybe whatever the monitors registered was compared to environmental data that matched a specific type of forest or a forest that was home to a unique species or feature?

I loved the bit where Tosh tried to drink her Starbucks coffee but couldn't because it smelled of bluebells - Even fairy!Ianto doesn't approve of Starbucks! Also I was impressed with how well you characterized the fairy - parts of him reminded me of Ianto (waiting for Jack to rise after dying, coffee) but you really conveyed how inhuman he is. Ianto was by turns childlike, vengeful, kind, mischievous, and creepy.
