I think the formatting here was original and did much to enchance the story, the other paths not taken and what might have happened and how even in these other realities, Ianto was still a damaged and unhappy person trying to deal with his grief all on his own. It's hard, by this point, to read Cyberwoman-era fics focusing on Ianto that feel original or bring something new to the (very depressing) party, but I loved what you did here.
The notion of Ianto making lists of possibilities for his life and then burning them as soon as he finishes them--dude...it felt both new (to me--I'd never thought of that before) and old (it's something that, of course, he would do becuase he is that kind of calculating person). I love stuff like that.
