Oh, don't worry about it! I'm a terrible lurker myself - I get very easily embarrassed leaving comments, so I rarely do it. In fact, I usually only comment when replying to reviews people have left on my fic. i.e. Thank you for leaving this comment despite any hang-ups you might have!
Gwen does bug me as well, as most of my other stories (the multi-parters, at the very least) will attest to. This story, I think, has overall one of my most positive portrayals of her. It's part of the overall story, really, the idea of healing and self-acceptance and peace - all things which Ianto's ability give him (hence allowing him to get past the guilt of not saving Lisa, for instance), and which he'll eventually start sharing in some measure. But I shan't spoil the next two parts for you - the next part will be out soon, and you'll see what I mean for yourself!
