[Ah, I see. I like Torchwood a lot, really I do, but Doctor Who...I just love it. ^^ I'm surprised S2 is where you dropped off, because I think it's probably my favorite season! But then I really was a fan of the banter between the 10th Doctor and Rose :) I can see how you might not like it as well, though, if the darkness is part of what drew you to Torchwood. There *is* darkness in Doctor Who but it's not really the same, because it's got to be kid-friendly, where as Torchwood obviously isn't! I actually think Doctor Who got significantly darker when the 11th Doctor took over; not that you could tell from his first few episodes, but as you go on, you can really see that darkness hiding inside him. Ahem. But yes, Torchwood, good stuff xD I was always a fan of Jack <3 I felt like S3 wasn't really *Torchwood* anymore, though, because Torchwood was always about them figuring things out and solving problems, and changing the format to one-enemy-for-five-episodes gave them so much down time. Add in the political drama and...it was good, but it didn't feel like the same show to me. ...anyway. I'm very good at rambling, in case you haven't noticed ;)]
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. *is killed ded* I love it!! That is just...so perfect in so many ways! First of all, I love that Steve is so *relaxed* to start with. Almost all of the fic I've read with this theme has him tense, or nervous, or confused and not sure how he feels--which is good, it's great, but this is an original take on how he might have felt and I *love* that, because I'd never thought of it before but I can totally see it. Why shouldn't he feel happy? He's free to do what he likes now, that has to be liberating. But I would never have thought of it that way if you hadn't written it, so thank you : D And from there, omg, the dialogue! Just, perfect. *Them*. Subtlety is lost on Steve, and Danny just coming out and asking the question--love it : D And Danny's rant about nothing being wrong with him--haha. Seriously I couldn't stop smiling. I love me a Danny!rant, and you've so got their characters pegged ;) And I love that both of them have the same reaction: "Oh" xD Because really what else can they say to put it into words?
And I love this line: And then, just because that’s kind of a huge revelation, he adds, “Oh.”
Haha. Just a little bit, Danny! Love it. Love it love it love it. Seriously, the way you write them is everything I love about H50 fic. And the last line is *perfect*. I have a thing for perfect last lines, and that's definitely one of them! I love that they're both so *happy*. <3 *hugs them* Oh, boys.
