Christmas Comment!fics

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Sometimes I write seasonal fics for various events. This Christmas, I thought I’d do something different instead.

I’m taking prompts for ficlets in any of the fandoms listed below. Please have a look at what I will/won’t write for each fandom before making your requests.

How this works:
Just leave a comment in this post with the fandom, pairing (if applicable) and prompt you’d like.

Prompts can be anything from random words for inspiration, to a specific scenario you’d like to see played out. They can be as specific or as general as you’d like, and I’ll do my best to stick to them.

ONE PROMPT per post. If you have multiple prompts, I’ll do the first one first, then go back to the others after I’m done with prompts from other people. So put the one you most want to see done first!

I will NOT write:
Anything with dark/unpleasant themes. It’s Christmas; let’s keep it happy. That said, I’ll take angst if I think it’s okay.

Some fandoms also have a specific listing for things I won’t write (don’t break up my OTPs please), so pay attention!

Character bashing.

Character death (except as in canon).

Note:
A slash denotes a pairing (e.g. Jack/Ianto), whereas a plus sign denotes friendship (e.g. Ianto+Tosh).

The latter doesn’t mean you can’t request friendship fics between people I haven’t listed; it just means that I’m particularly comfortable writing those two.

Simple enough, yes? Here are the fandoms I can write for, in alphabetical order:


Batman:

CAVEAT: I haven’t kept up with the latest news in the Bat-verse, and I personally Retcon any terrible characterisations etc. If you want something related to a specific event, please provide me with at least basic information about it. Generic stuff I can do without trouble, though. I also haven’t written a whole heap in this fandom, just fyi.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Bruce/Dick, Tim, Barbara

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Bruce or Dick up with others. Any fics involving anyone not in the character list (I don’t know the others well enough!).


Harry Potter: :

CAVEAT: It’s been ages since I’ve written in this fandom, so any old fics you might have read are vastly out of date with my style now. … You might actually get better fics now than I used to write.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Harry/Severus, Harry/Remus, Harry/Bill, Harry/Charlie, Harry/Neville, Harry/Luna, Harry/Hermione, Hermione/Ron, Ron/Luna, Neville/Luna, friendships between anyone (including Fawkes, Buckbeak and other animals), the list is kind of endless.

I WON’T WRITE: Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Severus/Remus, Sirius/Remus


Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!: :

CAVEAT: While I know the gist of the entire storyline, I’ve only read the scanlations up to the first chapter of Volume 13. I’ve not written extensively in this fandom, and what I do have, I haven’t posted. I think I’ve got a decently good grasp on the characters though, at least up to Vol. 12.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Kiyomine/Takara, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Kiyomine or Takara up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Naruto: :

CAVEAT: I would prefer to write post-time-skip for anything with pairings (outside of canon crushes). If it’s gen, go ahead and request any time-frame. I’m most familiar with the Konoha characters and the Sand siblings, so request anyone else at your own risk. Also, it’s been ages since I’ve written in this fandom, but I think I’ve got an okay grasp on them.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Naruto/Kakashi, Naruto/Sakura (post-time-skip), Naruto+Kakashi+Sakura, Naruto+Tsunade

I WON’T WRITE: Anything with post-betrayal Sasuke (especially Naruto/Sasuke). I would in fact prefer to avoid writing Sasuke altogether.


Prince of Tennis: :

CAVEAT: Only Seigaku members, please. I’m not really familiar with the other schools. Also, I have a tendency to ignore both the manga and anime endings because they both get ridiculous, so feel free to request something set in an AUish ending.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Tezuka/Ryoma, ensemble cast.

I WILL WRITE: Fics set in ‘verses I’ve already posted. If you like one of them and you’d like to see more in that verse, you can request that specifically. I’m thinking Kaleidoscope and The Winding Path in particular.

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Tezuka or Ryoma up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Princess Princess: :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written extensively in this fandom; request at your own risk.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Yuujirou/Tooru, Yuujirou+Tooru+Mikoto+Akira, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Yuujirou or Tooru up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like. I’d also prefer not to write the school council members, since I’m not very comfortable with them.


RPS: :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written this much, and none of what I’ve written has been posted; request at your own risk.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Frank/Gerard, My Chemical Romance ensemble cast

I WILL WRITE: I’m most comfortable with AUs of any sort. If it’s canon-based, I prefer ‘girlfriends/wives never existed’ fic.

I WON’T WRITE: Drunken/high shenanigans (so keep it post-sobering up); the aftermath is fine, though.


The Sentinel: :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written extensively in this fandom, though I think my grasp on the characters has improved a little from the few I’ve posted. Still, request at your own risk.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Jim/Blair, Jim+Blair+Simon, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Jim or Blair up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Star Trek (TOS/2009): :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written extensively in this fandom, and none of what I’ve written is posted online. Request at your own risk.
Specify if you want TOS or 2009!

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Kirk/Spock, Bones+Kirk+Spock, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Kirk or Spock up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Torchwood: :

CAVEAT: Children of Earth does not exist for me. Stick to the first two seasons; that’s all I acknowledge as canon.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Jack/Ianto, Owen/Tosh, Gwen/Rhys, Ianto/Lisa (pre-Canary Wharf only), Owen/Gwen (Season 1 only), team-fic, Ianto+Tosh, Jack+Gwen, Ianto+Owen

I WILL WRITE: Fics set in ‘verses I’ve already posted. If you like one of them and you’d like to see more in that verse, you can request that specifically.

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Jack or Ianto up with others (other than pre-Jack Ianto/Lisa). You can mix and match anyone else, and I’ll give it a shot, though.

I would adore any sort of Frank/Gerard or general MCR Christmas anything, but specifically I have something in mind, though it's not christmas-y..... Last month the boys did a piece for spin magazine, involving a large inflatable panda.... within the magazine there's a picture of Frank in the empty pool holding up the panda and underneath it is a picture of Mikey staring off and the panda is in the pool on it's back. Its my own personal canon that Frank is in fact under that panda. So any sort if light fluffy story depicting that would be awesome..... as well as referencing the horrifying truth about Gerard Way's legs (they're gorgeous but should ALWAYS remain covered in tight pants). <33 that man should never wear shorts again.

[Doesn't have to be Christmas-related! I loved that photoshoot myself, and your personal canon made me flail in helpless laughter - so naturally I had to go with it. Didn't manage to reference Gee's legs, though, sorry - but I hope this still works for you anyway!]

“Panda,” Frank says.

“Giant panda,” Gerard says.

“What the fuck,” Mikey says.

“Giant panda!” Frank and Gerard squeal, and take off towards the slowly inflating panda.

“We’re going to be shooting with that, aren’t we,” Ray says resignedly.

Frank throws himself at the panda. It sort of squidges inwards, and Frank vanishes momentarily in folds of black and white. Then a panda arm pops into inflated fullness and Frank reappears, giggling madly.

“Yep,” Mikey says.

The panda’s a little heavier than it seems, and exactly as bulky and unmanageable as it looks. Still, they wind up having heaps of fun pretending to haul it around. Frank in particular takes to the panda immediately.

“It’s comfortable,” he says, blinking guilelessly up at them from the napping spot he’s found in the panda’s crotch (“Stop molesting it, oh my god,” Gerard says).

And since Frank loves the panda so much, they stage a shot with him pretending to push it out of the pool. Gerard and Ray are just out of sight of the camera, holding onto the panda’s legs and keeping it relatively upright for Frank. Mikey watches serenely from a distance, as the cameras focus on a madly grinning Frank and click away. Finally, they’re given the signal that they’re done with that portion of the shoot.

So Gerard and Ray drop the panda, which collapses unceremoniously on Frank.

“Mmffks!” Frank squawks.

“Oh, fuck,” Gerard says, then starts laughing.

“Oops,” Ray says.

Mikey blinks. “Um,” he says.

Gerard trots over to him, closely followed by Ray. “Uh, we should probably get him out from under there,” Gerard says.

“Sure,” Ray says. “Soon.”

They look at each other.

Mikey nods, folds his hands before him, and assumes a zen expression. The cameras click away, but none of them really care.

“Oh, he’s going to hate us,” Gerard wheezes through laughter.

“I think he got himself out,” Ray says, looking over at the panda.

“You are dead, motherfuckers!” Frank howls. Gerard and Ray abandon Mikey to Frank’s wrath (it’s hardly their fault Mikey’s slow getting up) and run for their lives.

The photoshoot’s halted for half an hour while Frank attempts to murder his band-mates. He disappears while chasing Gerard down, and when the two of them finally re-appear, Frank’s flushed but appears to have calmed down a little.

“Is he going to kill us?” Mikey asks warily.

“Is he going to set my hair on fire?” Ray asks even more warily.

“Pyromaniac, fuckers,” Frank says cheerfully.

“That’s me,” Gerard says indignantly.

“Oh,” Ray says. “Well, that’s reassuring.”

Frank does the universal “I’m-watching-you” sign, then ruins it by giggling, which sets Gerard off, and the whole shoot’s postponed another fifteen minutes, and it’s way too hot to have been running around like that, and they’re totally going to get yelled at for the delays later, but just then, none of them really care.
