Christmas Comment!fics

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Sometimes I write seasonal fics for various events. This Christmas, I thought I’d do something different instead.

I’m taking prompts for ficlets in any of the fandoms listed below. Please have a look at what I will/won’t write for each fandom before making your requests.

How this works:
Just leave a comment in this post with the fandom, pairing (if applicable) and prompt you’d like.

Prompts can be anything from random words for inspiration, to a specific scenario you’d like to see played out. They can be as specific or as general as you’d like, and I’ll do my best to stick to them.

ONE PROMPT per post. If you have multiple prompts, I’ll do the first one first, then go back to the others after I’m done with prompts from other people. So put the one you most want to see done first!

I will NOT write:
Anything with dark/unpleasant themes. It’s Christmas; let’s keep it happy. That said, I’ll take angst if I think it’s okay.

Some fandoms also have a specific listing for things I won’t write (don’t break up my OTPs please), so pay attention!

Character bashing.

Character death (except as in canon).

Note:
A slash denotes a pairing (e.g. Jack/Ianto), whereas a plus sign denotes friendship (e.g. Ianto+Tosh).

The latter doesn’t mean you can’t request friendship fics between people I haven’t listed; it just means that I’m particularly comfortable writing those two.

Simple enough, yes? Here are the fandoms I can write for, in alphabetical order:


Batman:

CAVEAT: I haven’t kept up with the latest news in the Bat-verse, and I personally Retcon any terrible characterisations etc. If you want something related to a specific event, please provide me with at least basic information about it. Generic stuff I can do without trouble, though. I also haven’t written a whole heap in this fandom, just fyi.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Bruce/Dick, Tim, Barbara

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Bruce or Dick up with others. Any fics involving anyone not in the character list (I don’t know the others well enough!).


Harry Potter: :

CAVEAT: It’s been ages since I’ve written in this fandom, so any old fics you might have read are vastly out of date with my style now. … You might actually get better fics now than I used to write.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Harry/Severus, Harry/Remus, Harry/Bill, Harry/Charlie, Harry/Neville, Harry/Luna, Harry/Hermione, Hermione/Ron, Ron/Luna, Neville/Luna, friendships between anyone (including Fawkes, Buckbeak and other animals), the list is kind of endless.

I WON’T WRITE: Harry/Draco, Harry/Ginny, Severus/Remus, Sirius/Remus


Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!: :

CAVEAT: While I know the gist of the entire storyline, I’ve only read the scanlations up to the first chapter of Volume 13. I’ve not written extensively in this fandom, and what I do have, I haven’t posted. I think I’ve got a decently good grasp on the characters though, at least up to Vol. 12.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Kiyomine/Takara, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Kiyomine or Takara up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Naruto: :

CAVEAT: I would prefer to write post-time-skip for anything with pairings (outside of canon crushes). If it’s gen, go ahead and request any time-frame. I’m most familiar with the Konoha characters and the Sand siblings, so request anyone else at your own risk. Also, it’s been ages since I’ve written in this fandom, but I think I’ve got an okay grasp on them.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Naruto/Kakashi, Naruto/Sakura (post-time-skip), Naruto+Kakashi+Sakura, Naruto+Tsunade

I WON’T WRITE: Anything with post-betrayal Sasuke (especially Naruto/Sasuke). I would in fact prefer to avoid writing Sasuke altogether.


Prince of Tennis: :

CAVEAT: Only Seigaku members, please. I’m not really familiar with the other schools. Also, I have a tendency to ignore both the manga and anime endings because they both get ridiculous, so feel free to request something set in an AUish ending.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Tezuka/Ryoma, ensemble cast.

I WILL WRITE: Fics set in ‘verses I’ve already posted. If you like one of them and you’d like to see more in that verse, you can request that specifically. I’m thinking Kaleidoscope and The Winding Path in particular.

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Tezuka or Ryoma up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Princess Princess: :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written extensively in this fandom; request at your own risk.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Yuujirou/Tooru, Yuujirou+Tooru+Mikoto+Akira, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Yuujirou or Tooru up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like. I’d also prefer not to write the school council members, since I’m not very comfortable with them.


RPS: :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written this much, and none of what I’ve written has been posted; request at your own risk.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Frank/Gerard, My Chemical Romance ensemble cast

I WILL WRITE: I’m most comfortable with AUs of any sort. If it’s canon-based, I prefer ‘girlfriends/wives never existed’ fic.

I WON’T WRITE: Drunken/high shenanigans (so keep it post-sobering up); the aftermath is fine, though.


The Sentinel: :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written extensively in this fandom, though I think my grasp on the characters has improved a little from the few I’ve posted. Still, request at your own risk.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Jim/Blair, Jim+Blair+Simon, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Jim or Blair up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Star Trek (TOS/2009): :

CAVEAT: I’ve not written extensively in this fandom, and none of what I’ve written is posted online. Request at your own risk.
Specify if you want TOS or 2009!

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Kirk/Spock, Bones+Kirk+Spock, ensemble cast

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Kirk or Spock up with others. Go ahead and mix and match anyone else if you’d like.


Torchwood: :

CAVEAT: Children of Earth does not exist for me. Stick to the first two seasons; that’s all I acknowledge as canon.

CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: Jack/Ianto, Owen/Tosh, Gwen/Rhys, Ianto/Lisa (pre-Canary Wharf only), Owen/Gwen (Season 1 only), team-fic, Ianto+Tosh, Jack+Gwen, Ianto+Owen

I WILL WRITE: Fics set in ‘verses I’ve already posted. If you like one of them and you’d like to see more in that verse, you can request that specifically.

I WON’T WRITE: Anything pairing Jack or Ianto up with others (other than pre-Jack Ianto/Lisa). You can mix and match anyone else, and I’ll give it a shot, though.

santa’ll come a-calling

“Well, this is interesting,” Ianto says.

“That’s one word for it,” Jack replies, firing wildly into the sky.

“Flying reindeer,” Ianto says, changing the clip in his gun. “What next, a fat man in a red suit?” He fires upwards as Jack scrambles into the house with him.

“That’s always creeped me out a bit,” Jack says conversationally. Ianto kicks the door shut, and they take a few seconds to breathe. “I mean, how often do you want someone to sneak into your house?”

“Exactly never,” Ianto says. “Mum read me the Three Little Pigs when I was little. With the wolf falling into the hot water in the chimney, right? And I always imagined that happening to Santa.”

“Um,” Jack says.

“Oh,” Ianto says.

“Ho, ho, ho?” the Santa says. Then he coughs on a cloud of soot. “Shit, don’t you people ever clean your fucking chimneys?”

Ianto looks helplessly at Jack.

“So, who are you?” Jack asks.

“Who does it look like,” the Santa snorts. “Look, you’ve already gone and shot Donder and Blitzen, and those were my fastest guys, you know.”

“Oh, god,” Ianto says. He does not get paid enough for this.

“No, I’m not Santa fucking Claus,” the Santa says. “Just got spotted by a few people when I was flying by a few centuries ago, okay? And then the stupid reindeer decided to change their names, for verisimilitude, they said, who needs verisifuckingmilitude anyway, and –”

Ianto interrupts, because to let the Santa go on is to destroy the last shreds of his sanity. “So you’re an alien?” he asks.

“Duh,” the Santa says. “Look, those fucking idiots went and got into, I don’t know, some sort of green shit, and they ate it and then they went nuts, okay?”

“Your flying reindeer are high on drugs,” Jack says.

“Yeah,” the Santa says. “You know how to stop them?”

“Shoot them?” Jack says, raising his eyebrows.

“Other than shooting them,” the Santa says. “I need at least a couple of the fuckers to get back home!”

Jack heaves a deep sigh. “Okay,” he says, and points at the Santa. “You, stay here. Don’t move.”

Ianto joins Jack at the window. “So,” Ianto says.

“Yeah,” Jack says. “I’m going to run for the SUV, see if I can get the tranq gun and knock them out. Cover me?”

“Okay,” Ianto says. “Must you really leave me alone with him?”

“Don’t have a choice,” Jack says. “They’ve already caused enough damage. They’re going to rip up the rest of Cardiff if we leave them any longer.”

Ianto sighs and cracks the window open, noting where the reindeer are.

“I’m off, sweetheart,” Jack carols, and then dashes out the door.

At least, Ianto tells himself as he lays down covering fire, it’s an interesting Christmas.
